Food Parade

We had quite a few good meals over our very busy weekend.  To make it brief, here is the photo-montage:

Hakurai turnips with miso butter

Pan cooked bok choy

Whole wheat noodles with spiced fish (Hake) stew, garnish chopped garlic scapes

Sunday Breakfast: Oatmeal pancakes with yogurt and fresh strawberries

Coconut Curry Vegetables with panfried tempeh and rice noodles

Fitzwilliam eating rice noodles, and us wondering if he has a nutritional deficiency!

    Mmmm. Looks like a bunch of really tasty dishes. I love the idea of miso butter so if you’re up to posting how to make that, I’ll read it.

  2. Hi Tammy,

    The miso butter recipe is so easy:

    1. Take whatever type of vegetable you intent to have (turnips and radishes are good, but anything tastes great in this sauce), saute it with 2 tbsp. either white wine or mirin for about 5-10 minutes.
    2. Take 2 tbsp. miso (white) and 2 tbsp. butter, mix together evenly with a fork. You can garnish with garlic or sprouts.
    3. Serve with the sauteed vegetable, either on the side, or stirred in.
